Power
12V runs lights, fridge, water pump. Charge via solar, driving (alternator), or shore power at campsites. Size your battery and solar for your use; winter and cloudy days need more capacity or backup.
Cooking and Heating
Gas is common for cookers and heating; ensure good ventilation and a working CO alarm. Diesel heaters are efficient for cold weather. Never use a cooker for heating only. Condensation is a real issue — ventilate and use moisture traps or a dehumidifier if needed.
Staying Legal
Keep WOF and rego current. If freedom camping, only stay where permitted and be self-contained (green or blue warrant — blue vs green) where required. Respect bylaws and neighbours.
