Trade Me Motors
Trade Me has a wide audience and structured listings (photos, description, Q&A). Listing and success fees apply. Buyers can save searches and get Trade Me’s own email alerts. Campervan listings appear in Motors > Caravans & Motorhomes. Good for visibility and a permanent record of the ad.
Facebook Groups
Facebook groups (e.g. NZ Campervans for Sale, Campervans for Sale NZ) are free to list and very active. Many sellers list here first or only here; listings can be informal and fast-moving. No built-in alert system — you have to check often or use a third-party alert service like Kiwi Campervan Alerts to get notified when new vans appear.
Using Both
Serious buyers check both Trade Me and Facebook. Listings don’t always appear on both; some sellers use one or the other. To avoid missing new ads, set up alerts that monitor multiple sources and email you when something matches your criteria. Then you can view the listing and contact the seller directly.
